Rodney James (RJ) Pimentel was a mentor, brother, and best friend, beloved by all. Tragically, he passed away unexpectedly in May 2023 at the young age of 25. He embraced life with unwavering enthusiasm, inspiring all who knew him to find adventure and joy in each day. One of RJ’s most admirable qualities was his passion for learning and sharing knowledge. This foundation aims to honor his legacy and continue his efforts in education.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to honor RJ’s legacy by supporting disadvantaged STEM students at all grade levels, as they pursue their educational and professional aspirations. RJ was incredibly passionate about education and helping those less fortunate in his community. We intend to carry on his spirit through our work.
The RJ Pimentel Memorial Foundation will consist of multiple branches that will be leveraged to continue RJ’s vision. Currently, we have established two parts: a scholarship through Bold.org and volunteer work with the organization MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement). Through these branches, the Foundation will best act in RJ’s image, portraying his selflessness, mentorship, and kindheartedness.
